Drive Dimension Tolerance Limits - SOLIDWORKS PowerPack

This Generation Task is used to drive a dimension tolerance's upper and lower limits in a Part, Assembly or Drawing.

This Task requires the dimension being driven to have a tolerance applied to the dimension in the master.

To drive Tolerance Limits in a Parts or Assemblies use Drive Dimension Tolerance Limits (standard Task available from the Part & Assembly category).

To drive Tolerance Limits in a Drawings use this SOLIDWORKS PowerPack version.

Properties

Property NameDescription
(Name)The unique name for this task.
Dimension NameThe name of the dimension that will be driven.
Dimension Lower LimitThe New Lower Limit value for the dimension being driven. This value is in model units.
Dimension Upper LimitThe New Upper Limit value for the dimension being driven. This value is in model units.

Examples

When this task is added the properties are both static by default. See How To: Change A Static Property To A Dynamic Property to enable rules to be built on these properties.

Bilateral Tolerance

Symmetric Tolerance

Generation Sequence

This Task can be added to the following Generation Sequence(s):

  • Pre Drive (will be run before the Main Drive Sequence)
  • Post Drive (will be run after the Main Drive Sequence)
