Insert Block in Drawing - SOLIDWORKS PowerPack

The Insert Block in Drawing Generation Task allows you to insert any pre-made Drawing Block onto any given Sheet.

Properties

Property NameDescription
(Name)The unique name for this task.
AngleThe angle (in the Document units) that the block will be inserted.
Block File NameThe full file path of the Block to insert.
BottomThe distance from the bottom of the Sheet to the bottom of the image.
LeftThe distance from the left of the Drawing to the left of the image.
Link to FileTRUE to link the block to the file, FALSE embed.
ScaleThe scale of the Block.
Sheet NameThe name of the Sheet to insert the Block in (Leave blank to use the first Sheet).

When this task is added the properties are Dynamic by default. See How To: Change A Static Property To A Dynamic Property to enable rules to be built on these properties.

Scale0.50.5This is the scale the Block will be when inserted onto the Drawing. 0.5 will result in half the size of the original Block.
Sheet Name"Sheet1"Sheet1The name of the Sheet within your Drawing to insert the Block onto. Leaving this property blank will use the first sheet.

Generation Sequence

This Task can be added to SOLIDWORKS Drawings in the following Generation Sequence(s):

  • Pre Drive (will be run before the Main Drive Sequence)
  • Post Drive (will be run after the Main Drive Sequence)
