Use the 'Create Configuration' or 'Switch Configuration' Generation Tasks to control Configuration specific dimensions.
The Create Configuration Generation Task will create a Configuration in the Model it runs on.
Property Name | Description |
---|---|
(Name) | The unique name for this task. |
Activate Configuration | TRUE to activate the Configuration after it has been created. |
Alternate Name | The alternate name to give the Configuration. |
Comment | The comment to give the Configuration. |
Configuration Name | The name of the Configuration to create. |
Description | The description of the Configuration. |
Parent Name | The name of the parent Configuration (if any). |
When this Generation task is added the properties are both dynamic and static by default.

Property Name | Example Rule | Example Result | Meaning |
---|---|---|---|
Activate Configuration | TRUE | TRUE | This will Activate the newly created Configuration within the Generated Model. |
Alternate Name | "Machined" | Machined | The alternative name to give to the Configuration. This maybe used in other features such as when creating a Bill of Materials |
Comment | "Holes Suppressed" | Holes Suppressed | Comment to assign to the Configuration. |
Configuration Name | "Initial Machining" | Initial Machining | The name to be given to the newly created Configuration. |
Description | "The Part before drilling." | The Part before drilling. | The Description of the Configuration being created by the Generation Task. |
Parent Name | "Default" | Default | The Name of the Parent Configuration. |
