Set Display Style of Views

Specifies how parts or assemblies appear in drawing views.

Just as displaying geometry in high quality can decrease performance, setting the quality to draft quality can increase performance.

Properties

Property NameDescription
(Name) The unique name for this task.
Display StyleThe display style to use.
  • Wireframe displays all edges
  • HiddenLinesVisible displays visible and hidden edges
  • HiddenLinesRemoved displays only edges that are visible at the chosen angle
  • Shaded displays items in shaded mode
  • ShadedWithEdges displays items in shaded mode with hidden lines removed.
Sheet NameThe name of sheet containing the views. If left empty, the current sheet is used.
View NamesA pipe (|) delimited list of view names to set the display style for (for example Drawing View1|Drawing View2) or use an asterisk (*) to apply to all views on the sheet.
Cosmetic Thread QualityThe quality of the cosmetic threads.
  • High for high quality edges
  • Draft for draft quality edges
  • If left blank, the current value will be used for each view

Does not apply when the Display Style is set to Shaded.

Edge Quality
  • High for high quality edges
  • Draft for draft quality edges
  • If left blank, the current value will be used for each view

This property does not apply when using Shaded or ShadedWithEdges for the Display Style.

Generation Sequence

This Task can be added to the following Generation Sequence(s):

  • Pre Drive - (will be run before the Main Drive Sequence)
  • Post Drive - (will be run after the Main Drive Sequence)
  • Pre Close - (will be run before the SOLIDWORKS file is closed)
