Network License Server Licenses

This topic refers to the network licensing of the following products only:

For information regarding the licensing of DriveWorks Live, please refer to License Manager DriveWorks Live.

When using DriveWorks License Management as the network license server follow the steps in the section To Add Licenses to the Server below.

If the location of the License Server is being changed please follow the steps in To Return a Floating License below.

New Versions

Each new version of DriveWorks License Management will host and serve earlier version DriveWorks licenses.

Launch DriveWorks License Management from Windows Start button>All Programs> DriveWorks [version number]>License Management Tool.
Select the Network License Server tab and click Stop Service from the Server Control section (If the service is already stopped leave it in this state).
Select the Network License Server Licenses tab.
Click Add License.
Enter the license code or copy and paste it if you have it electronically.
Click Next.
If this is your first time activating a license on the machine you will have to fill out the required registration information.
To activate automatically (with Internet connection) see Automatic Activation.
To activate manually (no Internet connection) see Manual Activation.
Click Next.
The license will then be activated.
When the license has been successful activated you will get this activation successful message.
Select the Network License Server tab.
Click Start Service to restart the license server.

Launch DriveWorks License Management.
Select the Network License Server tab and click Stop Service from the Server Control section. (If the service is already stopped leave it in this state).
Select the Network License Server Licenses tab and select the license you wish to return and click Return Selected.
The License will then be returned.
When the license has successfully be returned you will get this return successful message.
Click the Start Service button to restart the network license server.

Repair License will attempt to repair a license that has become untrusted.

Launch DriveWorks License Management.
Select the Network License Server tab and click Stop Service from the Server Control section. (If the service is already stopped leave it in this state).
Select the Network License Server Licenses tab and select the license(s) you wish to repair and click Repair Selected.
Refer to Repair License for more information.
Once the repair is successful, click the Start Service button to restart the network license server.
