This article discusses the procedure when transferring a DriveWorks installation from a 32bit machine to a 64bit machine.
If the DriveWorks application being transferred is using a Fixed License this will need to be returned before the product can be re-activated on the 64bit machine. See License Management for information.
If the DriveWorks application being transferred is using a Floating License that is managed by DriveWorks Pro Server on another machine no further action is required.
Once the license has been returned from the machine being transferred the DriveWorks application(s) can be installed on the machine the installation is being transferred to.
All DriveWorks Pro modules are installed from a single installation file.
The installation process automatically detects the system type and installs the appropriate components based on if your system is 32 or 64 bit.
If the DriveWorks Group is stored on the machine being transferred please refer to the following articles depending on the Group Type.
Individual Group - See How To: Move an Individual Group
Shared Group - See How To: Move a Shared Group
If the DriveWorks Project Data is stored on the machine being transferred please refer to the article How To: Move an Individual Group.
Any plug-ins that were used on the machine being transferred should be installed on the machine the installation is being transferred to.
Any settings files used by the plugin can also be transferred across. Please see the documentation for the required plugin, links to the DriveWorks plug-ins are below:
