DriveWorks requires a supported version of WebView2 Runtime to be installed.
Appropriate checks are made during installation but depending on machine policy or the WebView2 requirements of other installed applications this could change.
When a DriveWorks application is launched and the installed WebView2 Runtime is not supported, one of the following messages will appear:
If the installed version of WebView2 Runtime is older than the minimum supported version the following message will be displayed.

If this message is displayed:

Please note
If the message persists once the application is re-opened, or the following message is displayed please see WebView2 Runtime Installation Failed

If WebView2 Runtime is not installed the following message will be displayed.

If this message is displayed:

Please note
If the message persists once the application is re-opened, or the following message is displayed please see WebView2 Runtime Installation Failed

If the installed version of WebView2 Runtime is newer than the minimum supported version the following message will be displayed.

In this scenario click OK to close the message and DriveWorks will run as normal.
Please note
If the message persists once the application is re-opened please see WebView2 Runtime Installation Failed
DriveWorks uses the Evergreen Runtime distribution mode.
This allows the underlying web platform (WebView2 Runtime) to update automatically, ensuring the latest version is always installed.
This is Microsoft's recommended method to ensure any critical security fixes are applied.
It means DriveWorks will work with any future updates of WebView2.
Unfortunately it also means any third party apps that use the fixed version of the WebView2 Runtime, or machine policies that prevent the updates could cause the updates to fail.
If, after running through the above attempts to install the required version of WebView2 Runtime, the message persists or the following message is displayed please contact your DriveWorks reseller for assistance.
