A CPQ Sales Portal System Administrator or CPQ Sales Portal Administrator license is required to administer industry data within the CPQ Sales Portal.
The industry business object defines different industries that can be linked to an account business object record.
For example, industry business object records may include consumer retail, aerospace or machine components.
Add an industry business object record has no impact on the default functionality of CPQ but can be used to filter accounts in the accounts view.
It can also be used in your own projects and rules by filtering your queries.
