PDM: CheckIn File into Vault

The CheckIn File into Vault Generation Task will check the named file into the vault.

Note: Ensure the SolidWorks PDM Plugin Settings is set up and enabled.

Properties

Property NameDescription
(Name)The unique name for this task.
Source File PathPath to the file to be checked in (must be inside the vault).
Check In CommentThe check in comment that will be passed through to PDM when the file is checked in.

Example

When this Generation task is added the properties are both dynamic and static by default.

If the Source File Path is the same as the target model or drawing being generated, this task will only run in the Post Close sequence and only run if the plugin settings are set to NOT check in models automatically.

Check In Comment"Automatically checked in by DriveWorks"Automatically checked in by DriveWorksIf the file is successfully checked in, the check in comment 'Automatically checked in by DriveWorks' will be used.

Generation Sequence

This Task can be added to the following Generation Sequence(s):

  • Pre Copy (will be run before the master file is cloned)
  • Post Copy (will be run after the master file is cloned, but before opening in SOLIDWORKS)
  • Pre Drive (will be run before the Main Drive Sequence)
  • Post Drive (will be run after the Main Drive Sequence)
  • Pre Close (will be run before the SOLIDWORKS file is closed)
  • Post Close (will be run after the SOLIDWORKS file is closed)
