DriveWorks Live Modules

What's New DriveWorks Live Modules

DriveWorks Live and Personal Web Edition (DriveWorks Administrator) now has a modular approach to designing the content of each page of the DriveWorks Live site.

DriveWorks Site Designer

The site designer is accessed by launching the implementation in an internet browser and logging into the site using a DriveWorks account that has permission to Administer Group Security.

To enter Edit mode:

From Personal Web Edition (DriveWorks Administrator)

1. Launch DriveWorks Administrator
2. Log into the group the site is to be designed for
3. Select Personal Web Edition from the task explorer
4. Click the Start button from the command bar
5. Once the login screen loads in the browser, login using an the group administrator credentials.  

From DriveWorks Live

1. Launch DriveWorks Live
2. Log into the group the theme is to be created for
3. Select Live from the task explorer
4. Click the Start button from the command bar
5. Once the login screen loads in the browser, login using an the group administrator credentials.

The Projects page will load in Viewing mode, this will be indicated just under the page header.

Click (Switch) to enter Editing mode

Once in Editing mode the modules included by default are shown in their respective positions.

The default modules can be excluded from the page by clicking the Remove link in the top right of the module.

Modules can be modified by clicking the Edit link in the top right of the module

To Reposition Modules

The layout of each page is made up of Module Groups.

By default each page has a:

• Login module group that spans the header
• Navigation module group which is the narrow column to the left under the Login module group
• Body module group which is the wide column to the right of the Navigation module group

The names of each module group do not reflect its intention, it is the modules that sit within these groups that define what each group does.

Any number of modules can be placed in each of these areas.

Placing multiple modules within one area will position each module in rows.

To reposition modules the site designer must be in Edit mode.

Reposition existing modules by dragging the required module to a new position.

Modules

The site designer provides standard modules for inclusion in the site.

To Add a New Module

Switch to Edit mode on the page the module is to be added.

Select the required module and drag into a module group area to position.

When the module is dragged over a module group on the web page the area will become active to indicate the module can be placed there.

Markup Control Module

The Markup Control module provides an area to include your own text, images or even flash movies.

To Edit the Markup Control  Module

1. Switch to Edit mode on the page the markup control module is to be edited.
2. Click the Edit link in the top right of the module to be edited.
3. This will open the WYSIWYG editor

The WYSIWYG editor provides many features to format the markup control module.

Login Module

The Login module provides the authentication to access the DriveWorks projects that can be specified.

To Edit the Login Module

1. Switch to Edit mode on the page the login module is to be edited.
2. Click the Edit link in the top right of the module to be edited.
3. This will open the Logon Configuration dialog

Login module edit options

• Next Page after Logon - Specify the page to be displayed after successful logon.
• Authentication - The Login module supports two types of authentication
• • Standard DriveWorks Authentication - This authentication method uses the security added to the DriveWorks group.
  • Mapped Active Directory Authentication - Specify group memberships, separate multiple group memberships using the pipe bar.

Menu Module

The menu module provides links to the Home screen and History by default.

Projects

The projects module provides a list of projects that are available for specification by the logged on user.

Specification Details

Specification Form

The Specification Form Module will render the forms required to specify the project into the module once edit mode is exited.

Specification History

The Specification History Module will render the specification history into the module once edit mode is exited.

Specification Navigation

The Specification Navigation Module will render the active specification's navigation into the module once edit mode is exited.
