Export IFC

Exports the current model as an IFC file.

Properties

Export Location
File DirectoryThe directory to export the file to. Leave blank to export to the components folder.
File ExtensionThe extension of the exported file, ifc as default.
File NameThe name of the exported file. Leave blank to use the components name.
OverwriteTrue to overwrite the file if it exists, False to keep existing file.
General
(Name)The unique name for this task.
IFC SpecificationThe IFC specification for the exported file. Choose from IFC4 or IFC2x3
IFC4 Export
Representation TypeThe representation type of the exported file. IFC4 exports only. Choose from BREP, BREPAndTessellation, Tessellation only.
Options
Custom PropertiesTrue to include custom properties in the exported file.
Materials and Mass PropertiesTrue to include materials and mass properties in the exported file.
OmniClass™True to use the OmniClass™ Construction Classification System class.
UniclassTrue to use the OmniClass™ Construction Classification System class.
UnitsThe units for the exported file. Choose from Millimeters, Centimeters, Meters, Inches, Feet.

Generation Sequence

This Task can be added to the following Generation Sequence(s):

  • Pre Drive (will be run before the Main Drive Sequence)
  • Post Drive (will be run after the Main Drive Sequence)
  • Pre Close (will be run before the SOLIDWORKS file is closed)
