DriveWorks Pro 15: Curve [send feedback...]

Introduction

This document describes the types of rules that can be applied to models that have advanced feature parameters captured.

Driving advanced feature dimensions increases model generation time. Where possible capture feature dimensions (distances, numbers and angles) as dimensions rather than an advanced feature parameter.

During model generation captured dimensions are driven before captured advanced feature parameters. If the advanced feature parameter has also been captured as a dimension the value being driven into the advanced feature parameter will override the captured dimension.

Sets the definition of the helix feature
ClockwiseTrue/FalseTrue sets the direction of the helix to be clockwise
False sets the direction of the helix to be counterclockwise
HeightNumberSets the taper angle for the helix feature
PitchNumberSets the pitch for the helix feature
ReverseDirectionTrue/FalseTrue extends the helix feature back from the origin
False extends the helix feature forward from the origin
RevolutionNumberSets the number of revolutions for the helix feature
StartingAngleNumberSets the starting angle for the helix feature
TaperTrue/FalseTrue sets the helix feature to be tapered
False sets the helix feature to not have a taper
TaperAngleNumberSets the taper angle for the helix feature
TaperOutwardTrue/FalseTrue sets the direction of the taper for the helix feature to be outward
False sets the direction of the taper for the helix feature to be inward
