Open Group Wizard

The Open Group Wizard can be launched from:

  • The Title Bar

Once a Group is open, the Close Group option will become available.
  • The Command Bar

The Open Group Wizard is used to open existing, Individual and Shared DriveWorks Groups.

Individual Groups can be opened by dragging the file, from Windows Explorer, into the application.

Select Group Type

First select the type of group you want to open.

  • If the group is displayed in the Recent list, select and double click it to launch the username and password prompt for that group.
  • To open an Individual group on a file system, select the Individual group option and click Next.
  • To open a Shared group from a server, select the Shared group option and click Next.
When opening a group that was created in an earlier version of DriveWorks you will be prompted to upgrade the group.

Selecting Yes will upgrade the group to match the version of DriveWorks you are currently running. Once a group has been upgraded, it cannot be opened in earlier versions of DriveWorks.

Selecting No will cancel the operation.

Open an Individual Group

To open an Individual group, click the Browse... button to locate the group file, and click Finish. You will then be prompted for the selected groups username and password.

If the group being opened was created in an earlier version of DriveWorks you will be prompted to upgrade the group.

Click Yes to upgrade the group or No to close the dialog and return to the main application.

Open a Shared Group

To open a Shared group:

  1. Select or type the name of the machine running DriveWorks Pro Server (located in Server drop down).
  2. Select the group to open from the list of groups available on the server (shown in the group list).
  3. Click Finish. You will then be prompted for your username and password.

When opening a Shared group, there is the option to search and filter servers and groups. Personal filters can also be applied.
