Camera Zoom Limits

Add Zoom Limits to the Preview Control's Default Camera. Limit how far you can zoom into and away from a Model. Alternatively you can also lock the Default Camera in one position.

Adding Zoom Limits to a Preview Control gives users a more restricted view of a 3D Model. The reduces errors when interacting with the model and provides a better user experience.

Default Value: No default value is applied to this property.

The values applied to the property are in the order:

Min | Max

Units for these values are in meters.

A rule can also be built for this property by changing the type to dynamic.

Behavior

The following image shows how Zoom Limits apply to the Default Camera.

Min - The minimum distance away from the Model that you want the Default Camera.

Max - The maximum distance away from the Model that you want the Default Camera.

Example

Camera Zoom Limits ValueResult
2|5You will be able to zoom the Default Camera to within 2 meters of the model and away from the model to a distance of 5 meters.
5|5This value will lock the Default Camera at a distance of 5 meters away from the model.

Value set in Form Designer. Static properties can be made Dynamic by double clicking the gray radio button.
