The Remap Appearance entity allows appearances to be replaced/remapped in models/nodes that the entity is attached to.
One or multiple appearances can be remapped to an existing Appearance in the 3D Document using this entity.
The entity is useful when replacing models into a DriveWorks 3D Document using the Replace Model entity. Models can be replaced into the scene and then appearances can be remapped to appearances in the 3D document.
With a model node selected and the Remap Appearance entity added to that node, the following will be displayed in the Parameter Panel:
A dynamic rule can be built for the Map String.
All matching appearances under the node where this entity is applied will be replaced.
E.g. The value "PrimaryColor|Color1" will change all appearances called "PrimaryColor" to be the appearance called "Color1".
To remap all appearances use the value '*'. E.g. "*|Color1" (or "Color1").
