Create Configuration

The Create Configuration Generation Task will create a Configuration in the Model it runs on.

Properties

Property NameDescription
(Name)The unique name for this task.
Activate ConfigurationTRUE to activate the Configuration after it has been created.
Alternate NameThe alternate name to give the Configuration.
CommentThe comment to give the Configuration.
Configuration NameThe name of the Configuration to create.
DescriptionThe description of the Configuration.
Parent NameThe name of the parent Configuration (if any).

Example

When this Generation task is added the properties are both dynamic and static by default.

Configuration Name"Initial Machining"Initial MachiningThe name to be given to the newly created Configuration.
Description"The Part before drilling."The Part before drilling.The Description of the Configuration being created by the Generation Task.
Parent Name"Default"DefaultThe Name of the Parent Configuration.
Leaving the Parent Name property blank will create a configuration at the same level as the default configuration.

To access the portal:

  1. Go to https://hub.driveworks.co.uk/tech-tips/
  2. Login with your DriveWorks Pro account credentials, if asked
  3. Click the Visit Tech Tips Portal button for access

The portal provides a search facility, start typing the name of the Tech Tip (as indicated above) to display the Tip you require.
