Drawing Rules Overview

The results of the rules applied to captured parameters vary depending on the parameter. For instance a scale denominator parameter rule must result in a number, while other parameter types must result in specific text, any text or a combination of all.

This topic lists all parameter types, gives examples of typical rules and what the result of the rule must be and describes the different kinds of rules that apply to drawings.

Drawing sheets are displayed in the model list as children of the drawing. Each sheet has its own node so the parameters applicable to that sheet are displayed when selected.

Parameters displayed for the top level drawing are:

  • File Name
  • Relative Path

Parameters displayed for a child sheet include:

  • Sheet State
  • Sheet Scale (Numerator and Denominator)
  • View State
  • View Position (Top and Left)
  • All captured annotations
