Set Dimension Text - SOLIDWORKS PowerPack

This Generation Task lets you insert Dimension text. Each property will set the text to the alignment in the name of the property. For example the Dimension Left Text will put the text on the left side of the dimension.

You can choose whether to use only one Dimension Text alignment property or multiple but the Task must have a Dimension Name to locate which dimension to insert the text next to.

Properties

Property NameDescription
Dimension Bottom TextThe new text below the dimension.
Dimension Left TextThe new text to the left of the dimension.
Dimension NameThe name of the dimension that will be driven (for instance D1@Boss-Extrude1).
Dimension Right TextThe new text to the right of the dimension.
Dimension Text Below LeaderThe new text below the Leader Line.
Dimension Top TextThe new text above the dimension.
(Name)The unique name for this Task.

To be able to set text for a Dimension below the Leader Line you must make sure you have the Document Option in SOLIDWORKS set to Solid Leader Align Text. To do this Navigate to Document Properties in Options and expand Dimensions. On each of these dimension types make sure it is set to Solid Leader Align Text.
