Enable/ Disable User

The Enable/ Disable User task will enable or disable the specified user.

This is modifying the state of the Enabled checkbox for the specified user in the Security settings.

The user running this task needs to be a member of a team that has permission to modify Group Security.

Properties

Property NameDescription
Enable UserDetermines if the user is enabled (True) or disabled (False).
User NameThe name of the user to enable or disable.
TitleChanges the Title (not the name) of the task.

When this task is added the properties are static by default.

Enabling a User

The user "Sales Manager" is to be enabled:

Disabling a User

Using the Task in a Specification Macro

This task has different types of Outputs. For more information about Outputs see Specification Macros Task Node.

Outputs are only available within Specification Macros. Currently Outputs are not available for Specification Flow.

Status Outputs

This task supports Status Outputs. These can be used to perform different actions depending on what the status outcome of the task is. For more information see Status Outputs in the Task Node Outputs section of Specification Macros Task Node.

The status output navigation is as follows:

Success (one of the following occurred)

  • Set user enabled.
  • Set user disabled.

Success with Warnings (one of the following occurred)

  • User was already enabled.
  • User was already disabled.

Failed (one of the following occurred)

  • User does not have permissions to edit group security.
  • Username was empty.
  • User doesn't exist.
  • General failure - Check the specification report for more details.
