Model Explorer

The Model Explorer task is used to display all models that have been released and are queued to be generated.

The Model list can be be filtered by using the filter at the top of the list.

Please see the topic How To Use Filters for more advanced filtering information.

The Model Explorer lists all models queued for generation.

The information given for each model includes:

  • Name - The name of the model that will be generated.
  • Master - The name of the master file the model will be generated from.
  • Master Path - The location of the master file.
  • Type - The type of model (Part, Assembly or Drawing).
  • Target Path - The location that the new file will be stored at.
  • Tags - Any Tags applied to the model that will be generated.
  • Flags - Any flags set on the model.

    Models can have an Overwrite flag applied by including one of the following tasks in the Specification Flow:

    Drawings can have a deferred flag applied by setting the Deferred Drawings property on the Release Models Task in the Specification Flow.

  • Released Date - The date and time the model was released.

Only Root Components

Root components are shown by default .

These are the top-level models that are used to create the variant from.

To show all child components click the Only Root Components button.

Show Deferred Drawings

Will show any drawings flagged as deferred.

Selecting any deferred drawings and clicking Generate will generate the deferred drawings.

Generate

A component that has been generated can be generated again by selecting it from the Model Explorer and clicking the Generate button.

Refresh

To refresh the Model Explorer list click the Refresh button.
