Specification Settings (for Autopilot)

The Specification Settings (for Autopilot) is available from the settings of DriveWorks Autopilot.

The autopilot feature in DriveWorks Autopilot has the ability to automatically generate SOLIDWORKS models, send emails, and process specifications. Each of these three activities (or queues) can be turned on or off independently.

Enable specification processing

With this option check then DriveWorks Autopilot will process specifications.

Load Balancing

Load balancing is the ability to process tasks across multiple DriveWorks Autopilot machines.

Load balancing ensures that when a task is picked up to be processed by one DriveWorks Autopilot, then another DriveWorks Autopilot will not try and process the same task.

Load balancing is only supported on Shared Groups.

Logged on User

The user logged onto the DriveWorks Autopilot machine requires the correct permissions to process specifications.

A specification should only be processed by a DriveWorks Autopilot that has been logged in with a user with the correct permissions to process that specification.

It should never try to process a specification it does not have permission to.

For example:

  • A user that has no permissions to run specifications will never receive specifications to that autopilot.

    Or

  • Transitions that can only be run by Administrators will never be given a specification to process when logged in as a non Administrator.
Tagging

Tagging is the ability to target DriveWorks Autopilot to process a specific task.

See Autopilot for more information.
