Product Manager

The Product Manager lets you Add, Edit and Delete Products from the DriveWorks CPQ Template. Here you can setup Products (Standard, Custom and Special), set their costs, apply discounts and manage their information.

Every Product added into this View can then be added into the Product Catalogue that sits inside the OrderView DriveWorks Project.

To add Products into the Catalogue you will need to go to the Catalogue Setup View.

Location in the DriveWorks CPQ Template:

Dashboard > Admin Panel > Product Manager

Using the Product Manager

DriveWorks CPQ Template Product Manager View

The Product Manager View displays a table of Products that exist inside the DriveWorks CPQ Template. In this View you can Add, Edit and Delete Products from the CPQ solution.

Discounts can alos be applied to each Product using the Discounts button on the Menu Bar.

Adding a Product

  1. Select New from the Menu Bar. A dialog will appear.
  2. The dialog contains 4 steps to add a new Product to the CPQ template.
  3. The following values can be set:
    • Product Type
    • Product Name
    • Product Description
    • Product Features
    • Keywords
    • Up to 5 Related Items.
    • Up to 5 Suggested Items.
    • Discount
    • Unit Price
    • DriveWorks Project to Run (Custom and Special Products Only).
    • Product Enabled (TRUE or FALSE).
    • Up to 5 Product Images (Product must be added before images can be applied).
  4. Once you have filled out the forms, select Add on Step 4.
  5. The Product will be added to the table and the CPQ template.
Custom and Special Products

Custom and Special Products do not use all of the values available unless you add the functionality to the DriveWorks Projects they use.

Editing a Product

  1. Select a Product from the Data Table on the main Product Manager View.
  2. Select Edit from the Menu Bar. A dialog will appear.
  3. The same values can be set as adding a Product. See above.
  4. Product Images can only be added to Products that have already been added to the CPQ template.

Deleting a Product

  1. Select a Product from the Data Table on the main Product Manager View.
  2. Select Delete from the Menu Bar. A dialog will appear.
  3. On the dialog that appears, select Delete.

Discounts

A Discounts button will appear in the Menu Bar when you have a Product selected. This allows you to apply Bulk Discounts to a Product. You can create pricing ranges between different quantities.

  1. Select a Product from the Data Table on the main Product Manager View.
  2. Select Discounts from the Menu Bar. A dialog will appear.
  3. Setup the correct ranges using the controls on the dialog form.
    You can add up to 10 ranges per product.
  4. Range From and Range To are the quantities at which the range should span.
  5. Once you have set your ranges, select Apply.

Removing Price Ranges

  1. Select a Product from the Data Table on the main Product Manager View.
  2. Select Discounts from the Menu Bar. A dialog will appear.
  3. To remove the Price Ranges from the Product select Remove All Price Ranges in the bottom left of the dialog.
  4. Select Close to return to the previous View.
